Kid Quote - Eat or Else?

We were headed out to dinner as a family quite a while ago and our oldest son said he wasn’t hungry and didn’t want to go.  Since he seldom wants to eat, my husband tried explaining that we HAD to eat or else we would die.  He detailed that food gave our bodies the fuel they needed to function and stay healthy and told him that without food we would get sick and eventually die.  After listening to Daddy for several minutes he finally agreed to go with us.

That night our son ate amazingly well at dinner.  Since we ate Chinese, which is typically one of his favorites, we didn’t think too much about it.  Afterwards he turned to Daddy and proudly annouced loudly enough for the booths around us to hear, “I ate dinner.  I don’t have to die now.”
