A standard bed time not only makes for happier children (it’s amazing how much happier enough sleep makes them), but it can save your sanity by giving you a few minutes to recharge as well. To really understand why someone coined the old adage of “No use crying over spilled milk,” try cleaning it off your recently mopped floor for the fourth or fifth time in less than four hours. Moments like that can grant amazing clarity.

Always serve small portions even if you child normally loves that food - yesterday’s favorite can easily become today’s “no way am I going to try it” without any warning. Better to bribe them with seconds if they eat their veggies. -Manda
